Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

The 8 Week MBSR


Led by: Clare Donegan

I am currently offering courses on a one 2 one basis only.

The aim of the course is to deepen our understanding of the way we think, feel and react to stress. You will begin to explore and  practice your responses to stress. To do this you  will develop a strong personal foundation of mindfulness practice in your daily life. You will learn new ways of handling challenging thoughts, emotions and life situations by helping you to move towards greater balance, self-care and resilence.

Mindfulness meditation practices, including gentle hatha yoga and walking, will be taught in a supportive group-learning environment or on a one to one basis. The course is completely secular and no previous meditation experience is required.

The course fee includes a course handbook, in between session support if required, and the opportunity to deepen and integrate learning from the course with an experiential day of practice (silent retreat day).

Mindfulness Drawing Workshop


Led by: Clare Donegan

Discover the arts of mindfulness and drawing, together. We will practice a mindfulness meditation guided by Clare. To center and ground ourselves, to build and sharpen our awareness. We will then drop into the drawing exercises. We will explore how drawing and mark making can create a deeper connection with ourselves and the world around us. We will experience the joy of playful drawing and flow. Clare will draw from her mindfulness practice and training to offer insights and suggestions for creative, empowered well-being.

This is a testing space, Clare’s first time trying out these new fresh ideas in a group. Please come with an open mind and heart

This is a free workshop and materials will be provided. If you would like to bring a tea with you you are welcome! Please wear clothes you are comfortable creating in.

Introduction to Mindfulness

An introduction to mindfulness in the form of one or two hour, half day or full day sessions for organisations, businesses or the general public. These introductory courses are designed to offer a taste of mindfulness-based approaches, through a simple but coherent introduction to mindfulness practice,  and how this can be beneficially brought into the workplace, home and all aspects of daily life.

Courses can be tailored on request to the particular needs of a group or organisation.  Please note an introductory course or workshop does not replicate the full benefits of the eight week programme

Mindfulness for schools


Clare delivers a 6/ 8-week programme targeted to primary school and high school aged children. The program is based on research and development Clare has carried out in the spring of 2016 in schools across North Manchester. The programme covers the ground that the adult counterpart course; Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction entails.

The sessions are experiential, fun and engaging. The focus is always on resilience building, interpersonal skills and healthy living. The course also strongly focuses on how children can build ‘ a mobile personal tool-kit’ that they can ‘carry’ with them at all times. This tool kit comprises of meditation and mindfulness practices to aid concentration, stress and negative thought processes.
